Born in Chocowinity, North Carolina, on April 11th, 1944, LaVerne Tripp started singing in front of the crowd when he was just two and a half years old. From then on, his desire to sing never diminished.
When he was a student, he sang at local churches and eventually joined such groups as The Rangers Quartet, Sierras, Jubilee Quartet, and Palmetto State Quartet.
In 1968, he joined the Blue Ridge Quartet as their lead singer. With his songwriting and singing skill developed, the Blue Ridge Quartet soared to the top. For six consecutive years the Blue Ridge Quartet saw its popularity go through the roof, thanks to the int
