Jeffrey Leon Bridges (born December 4, )[1] is an American actor. He is known for his leading man roles in film and television. In a career spanning over seven decades, he has received various accolades, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild Award, in addition to nominations for three BAFTA Awards and two Emmy Awards. In , he was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Award.
Born into a prominent acting family, Bridges appeared on the television series Sea Hunt (–) alongside his father, Lloyd, and brother, Beau.
